Smart City Maker's Fest is a Hackathon named as < CODE/NOW >, with an acute focus on Smart City

Heads Up : Bootcamp : Pitch : Hackathon

To bring the maximum productivity out of Hackathon, we have structured the series into four events. HEADS UP - Gives the overview of whole event and what is expected from the participants. This is the time when we release two 'problem statements'. BOOTCAMP - Two days of regress technical sessions from-sensor node to-cloud. This gives idea as to what is not broken and what needs solution.
PITCH - Participants pitch their ideas to our panelist and get access to final stage < CODE/NOW > i.e. Hackathon.
HACKATHON - Hacking begins!

Innovation can come from any corner, this is the sole reason for keeping this event completely free and open. The most innovative idea should get opportunity to get showcased.

By solve Pune's problem, we would actually solve our own day-to-day problems. This is quite a motivation in solving our local problem.

The idea can be a potential startup, and together we can make it possible. Solution of Pune city can be replicated to 100s of other city in India too.

You can call this Heads-Up, Introduction or Q&A session. But the whole premise is to give you overview of all the upcoming events in the series, how can you participate, types of hurdles you anticipate, and general Q&A.

Following are two problem statements, that needs solution during hackathon < CODE/NOW >

  • Pune's water problem - Metering & Leakage
  • Pune's transit system - Static and dynamic GTFS system
  • Two regress days of Bootcamp

These session will help you bootstrap in no time and help connecting dots. We will cover all types of single board computers that has micro-controller, micro-processor and both. Cloud that is already IOT ready. All the essentials for bootstrapping, lot of resources to help you with quick prototyping, story of prototyping-to-manufacturing. Product development science to help you pick the right approach example: how many ways to solve a problem "3000 songs in a pocket"?
